THE RODOCENTRIC DIFFERENCE
Traps deal with the mouse. Proofing deals with the way in.
Finding mice or rats in your property is stressful. And most rodent problems don’t end with the first catch. Rodents tend to arrive in waves, and the scent and urine trails they leave behind lead the next ones straight to the same spot. So, you trap one, another turns up, and the cycle carries on.
Proofing breaks the cycle. Once the entry points are found and sealed with materials rodents can’t chew through, there’s no way back in through those points. And because we don’t use poison or traps, there’s nothing harmful from those methods left lying around for children or pets to find.
That’s what rodent exclusion means: blocking the ways in rather than relying on repeated trapping. We’ll also tell you honestly if you don’t need the work, or if someone else is a better fit.
No more sleepless nights. No more worry.
SERVICES
Mouse and rat proofing
Looking for rodent proofing specialists? Rodocentric focuses on mice and rats, with every installation tailored to the property.
Rat proofing
Rats often travel through drains and old pipework, then push their way in through damaged building fabric. We assess where they’re getting in and proof the routes that matter.
HOW IT WORKS
Assessment visit: a localised or full-property inspection, then a written proofing report with an estimated cost for the work.
Find the entry points: we agree exactly which points need proofing, and why.
Seal: metal plates, anti-gnaw fabrics and sealants, stainless steel guards and mesh, fitted to suit your property, on junctions, pipes and service openings. Sometimes that means taking kitchen units out first.
Reinstate and finish: everything goes back as it was, and in living areas we work plates in discreetly (behind skirting boards, for example). You get photos of the finished work and advice on keeping them out.
MEET LUKASZ
Our mission: permanent, humane peace of mind
Rodocentric was founded by Lukasz Kwiatkowski, who is personally involved in every job, from the first assessment to the final check. Rodents are the only thing we work on, and we’d rather do the job once and do it properly.

FAQS
-
No. We proof your property to block rodent entry points, without leaving poison or traps around children, pets or people using the space.
-
A localised inspection (one room, kitchen, bathroom or external only) is £70 to £130. A full property inspection is £150 to £250, depending on the size, type and layout of the property. Both are plus parking and travel costs. The inspection fee is separate from the cost of any proofing work. You’ll get your proofing report and estimated cost within 72 hours of paying for the inspection.
-
Nesting indoors is less common than people expect, and often they’re not there when work starts. If they are, they’ll need removing first (a pest professional can trap them), then we proof.
-
In cupboards and service spaces the metal plates are visible. In living areas we work around it wherever we can, for example behind skirting boards.
-
Yes. The proofing materials and installations we fit come with a 36-month guarantee, covering the entry points agreed in your survey report. Full terms are in your quote.
